Infinity Nikki Resonance: the pity Infold publishes, the rates it doesn't, and the button that costs people a hundred pulls

By DayOneFix Editorial · August 24, 2026

A Bilibili commenter, 1,173 likes: “Pulled 60 times on the limited banner before discovering you can set a target.” Underneath, someone answers with the only reply that could make it worse: “120 pulls before I set mine.”

The feature they missed is called Ocean’s Blessing, it is officially documented, it is free, it can only be used once, and it is on the banner screen the whole time. That is Infinity Nikki’s gacha in miniature: the rules are unusually generous and unusually well published, and almost nobody has read them, because the one number everybody searches for — the drop rate — is the one number Infold has never put on the web.

This page separates those two halves, and keeps them separate, because planning around the wrong one costs real money.

The rules Infold actually publishes

These are quoted verbatim from Infold’s own English banner announcements, which carry the same wording version after version:

“Every 10 Resonances guarantees a 4-star or higher piece, and every 20 Resonances guarantees a 5-star piece.”

On 4-star-only banners the rule is different and also stated:

“Every 5 Resonances in either event guarantees one piece from the corresponding outfit.”

And on rerun banners:

Previous Resonance counts will carry over to this event.

That is a published hard pity of 20 for a 5-star piece. There is no ambiguity and no datamining involved. If a page tells you Infinity Nikki’s pity is 60, or 80, it is describing a different game.

The part that changes everything: pity is per piece

Infinity Nikki does not pull outfits. It pulls pieces, and an outfit is complete only when you own all of them. So “20-pull pity” does not mean twenty pulls gets you the dress on the banner art — it means twenty pulls gets you a 5-star piece of it, possibly the socks.

The good news, and it is genuinely good: within one outfit, 5-star pieces do not repeat. That converts the whole thing into simple arithmetic.

Worst case for a full 5-star outfit = (number of pieces) × 20.

And here is where the official trail stops: Infold has never published how many pieces an outfit has. Not in a banner announcement, not in a version notice. So the total everyone quotes is a community count of the clothes themselves, and it has moved:

Piece countWorst caseWhere this applies
9 pieces180 ResonancesThe 1.0-era figure, still the most-copied number online; matches the permanent-pool outfits
10 pieces200 ResonancesCommunity counts of recent limited 5-star sets
11 pieces220 ResonancesThe ceiling Chinese players argued about after Infold’s April 2025 wording change

That April 2025 row deserves a note, because it is the biggest gacha story in the game’s history and it is why old numbers persist. Infold’s announcement said an outfit would have “no more than eleven pieces”, which the Chinese community read exactly as intended — a 5-star outfit at 200-pull pity was going to 220. A commenter with 358 likes: “I’ve seen several games cut pity from 300 to 200. Raising the pity count is a first in my eight years of gacha.” Another, 749 likes, on the detail that made it absurd: “the real issue is splitting the socks and the beads on the socks into two separate pieces.”

So do not memorise a total. Count the pieces on the banner screen and multiply by 20. That number is officially anchored; the total never is.

And the worst case is not the expected case. Real reported clears from Chinese players sit well below the ceiling — 162, 176, 187, 189 for various sets — because pity is a floor, not a schedule.

Ocean’s Blessing: the free feature everyone finds too late

Infold’s wording, verbatim:

“This Resonance event includes the Ocean’s Blessing feature, allowing stylists to select one piece of the outfit for the upcoming Resonances. Once selected, for the first 5 times you obtain a 5-star piece, it will be the one you chose. Ocean’s Blessing can only be used once, so please choose carefully.

That sentence is awkward, and it is worth being honest about what it does and does not settle. Since 5-star pieces within an outfit do not repeat, “for the first 5 times… it will be the one you chose” cannot literally mean the same piece five times. The reading that both the Chinese community and the English wiki arrive at independently is: your chosen piece is guaranteed to arrive no later than your fifth 5-star piece — which, at 20 Resonances per 5-star, is at most 100 Resonances. We are labelling that as a reading of ambiguous official wording rather than an official statement, because Infold has not restated it more clearly.

Two things about it are unambiguous and both matter:

One caveat on Ocean’s Blessing: it is not on every banner. It appears in the Resonance Rules of the specific banner announcement or it does not. Check that section before you plan around it.

The rates: real, official, and not on the internet

This is the finding that most surprised us. Infold does publish Resonance probabilities — but only on one screen inside the game, and nowhere else. We enumerated Infold’s entire English news archive (560 posts across every section of its own news API), its Steam news feed, its Steam store page and its App Store listing. Not one carries a percentage for Resonance.

Where the real numbers live, and it is worth doing once: home screen → the Resonance icon, top right → Resonance Details on the right of the banner → Resonance Probability. There is an entire genre of Chinese article titled “where do I look at the Resonance probabilities”, which is itself the evidence that it is screen-only.

The figures circulating are community transcriptions of that screen. Two independent Chinese sources agree exactly:

RarityBase rateConsolidated rate (with pity)
5-star piece1.5%6.06%
4-star piece3.29%11.50%
3-star82.44%

The three consolidated figures sum to exactly 100.00%, which is a good sign they were copied off a real table rather than invented.

The distinction between those two columns is where English coverage goes wrong. Several large English pages present 6.06% as “the official draw rate”, which invites you to plan as though roughly one pull in sixteen is a 5-star piece. It is not. 1.5% is what a single pull does; 6.06% is what the 20-pull guarantee averages out to. If you are budgeting, budget against the guarantee, not against the consolidated number.

A general warning follows from it. Any page quoting a pity in the sixties or eighties for this game is not describing Infinity Nikki — Infold’s own banner announcements say 20 — and any page presenting a consolidated figure as a per-pull rate has skipped a column. Both errors are common enough in English coverage that the safest habit is to check a claim against Infold’s own Resonance Rules paragraph, which is published with every banner.

Soft pity is not published by anyone. The consistent Chinese report is that 5-star pieces land at 18 or 19 more often than at 20; one commenter with 1,347 likes frames it as Infold working to keep you off the hard pity. A WeChat pull log from 17 August 2026 reads “basically every piece came at eighteen or nineteen” — independent, and consistent. Treat 18-to-19 as a real tendency and 20 as the only promise.

The currencies, and which banner takes which

All five names below are Infold’s own, from its banner announcements:

CurrencyWhat it pulls on
Revelation CrystalLimited-Time Resonance (the 5-star banners)
Limited-Time Revelation CrystalSame, but expires with the event
Resonite CrystalThe permanent pool
Epiphany Crystal4-star Limited-Time Resonance only — Infold states this explicitly
Exclusive Revelation GemsEvent-scoped variants, e.g. 2.9’s Summer Exclusive Revelation Gems

Infold does not publish the Diamond cost of a Resonance anywhere we could find. The community figure, consistent across Chinese and English sources, is 120 Diamonds per crystal. Use it to sketch a budget, not to make a purchase decision.

Where a free player’s pulls actually come from

Three documented faucets, and most new players only know the first:

  1. Exploration. Chests carry Diamonds; that is why chest-only route guides exist as their own genre. Counts and priorities here.
  2. The Mira Crown Styling Contest. Star ratings pay Diamonds, outfit pieces and Sparklites, and Sparklites exchange for Resonite Crystals and Revelation Crystals through the Crystal Exchange. This is a pull-currency faucet dressed as a fashion minigame, and it is the one beginners skip.
  3. Events and the Journey track, which hand out Revelation and Resonite Crystals directly.

The planning rule that falls out of the pity structure: because pity is per piece and carries across reruns of the same outfit’s banner, a partial pull is never wasted on a set you intend to finish later. Stopping at 60 on an outfit you like is a real position, not a failure — the count is waiting for you when it returns.

The counterweight, from an English-side comment that says the quiet part: this game is not designed to give a free player enough Diamonds to complete an entire outfit from every new banner. Pick your versions.

Version 2.9 breaks the maths, once

For four weeks, the arithmetic on this page is wrong in your favour. The 2.9 banner, Where Flowers Wake, gives a free 10-draw every time you press ×10, up to ten times — and Infold states that the bonus draws count toward the guarantee. That halves the effective cost up to the cap, and it punishes single-pulling absolutely.

The full rules and the pull table are on the 2.9 banner page. Read it before 27 August rather than after.

FAQ

What is the pity in Infinity Nikki? Officially published by Infold: every 10 Resonances guarantees a 4-star or higher piece, and every 20 Resonances guarantees a 5-star piece. On 4-star-only banners, every 5 Resonances guarantees a piece of that outfit.

How many pulls for a full 5-star outfit? Pieces × 20. Infold does not publish the piece count, so count them on the banner screen. Community counts put recent limited 5-star sets at 10 pieces (200 worst case); older and permanent-pool sets at 9 (180); the ceiling after Infold’s April 2025 change is 11 (220). Real reported clears are commonly 150 to 190.

What is the 5-star rate in Infinity Nikki? Infold publishes it only on the in-game Resonance Probability screen, not on any website. The community transcription, agreed by two independent Chinese sources, is a 1.5% base rate per pull and a 6.06% consolidated rate once the 20-pull guarantee is included.

Is 6.06% the chance of a 5-star per pull? No, and this is the most-repeated error in English coverage. 1.5% is the per-pull rate; 6.06% is the consolidated figure that already includes the guarantee.

What is Ocean’s Blessing? A free, once-per-banner feature that lets you select one piece of the outfit before you pull. Infold’s wording is that for the first 5 times you obtain a 5-star piece it will be the one you chose; the practical reading, which we label as a reading, is that your chosen piece arrives no later than your fifth 5-star. Set it before you start pulling.

Does pity carry over between banners? Infold states on rerun banners that “previous Resonance counts will carry over to this event.” The community’s fuller account, which Infold has not confirmed, is that counts follow a specific outfit’s banner rather than pooling globally — so pulls on one outfit do not advance another.

Do 5-star pieces repeat? Not within one outfit before it is complete. That is what makes pieces × 20 a real ceiling rather than an estimate.

How much does one Resonance cost? Infold does not publish it. The consistent community figure is 120 Diamonds per crystal.

Where do free players get pulls? Chests and exploration for Diamonds; the Mira Crown Styling Contest for Sparklites, which the Crystal Exchange turns into Resonite and Revelation Crystals; and event tracks. The styling contest is the faucet most new players never open.

Is soft pity real in Infinity Nikki? Nobody official says so. Chinese players consistently report 5-star pieces landing at 18 or 19 rather than 20, in enough independent places to take seriously. 20 is the only promise.

Official. The guarantee wording, the Ocean’s Blessing description, the carry-over statement, the 4-star banner rule and the currency names are quoted from Infold Games’ own English banner announcements on its official site, which repeat them near-identically: Limited-Time Resonance: Lingering Finale (8 June 2026) is the post quoted at length here, and the same wording appears in Limited-Time Rerun Resonance: Into the Illusion, Limited-Time Rerun Resonance: Fireworks Prelude, Limited-Time Rerun Resonance: Fairy’s Secret and the 4-star pair Starlit Wishfin and Time of Serenity, which is also where “Epiphany Crystals can only be used to resonate for limited-time 4-star outfits” comes from. The Mira Crown Styling Contest, Sparklites and the Crystal Exchange are from Infold’s Version 2.0 Update Notice on Steam. The 2.9 bonus rules are from Infold’s own 2.9 outfit preview description on its official English YouTube channel.

The absence is itself a finding, and we checked it properly. On 24 August 2026 we enumerated Infold’s complete English news archive through its own API — 560 posts across every section — plus the Steam news feed for app 3164330, the Steam store page and the App Store listing. No Resonance percentage appears in any of them. The probabilities are published on an in-game screen only; the navigation path (home screen, Resonance icon top right, Resonance Details, Resonance Probability) is documented by 游侠手游, and the existence of that article genre is part of the evidence.

Community, named. The rate table is transcribed from the in-game screen by two independent Chinese sources in agreement: 17173’s Resonance mechanics explainer (7 December 2024), which gives 1.5% base and 6.06% consolidated for 5-star pieces, 3.29% and 11.50% for 4-star, 82.44% for 3-star, and states the 9-piece / 180-pull calculation for that era; and 3DM’s guide (16 September 2025), which independently gives 1.5%, the 10-and-20 guarantees and the no-duplicate rule. The English page presenting the consolidated figures as “the official draw rate” is Game8’s gacha guide, which is also the source of the 120-Diamonds-per-crystal figure and which carries its own banner saying it stopped updating in April 2025. Piece counts for recent limited 5-star outfits were counted from outfit data on the Infinity Nikki Fandom wiki, not from any Infold statement. The 60-pulls-before-Ocean’s-Blessing comment (1,173 likes), the 120-pull reply, the wasted-selection report, the April 2025 pity-change threads (including the 358-like “raising pity is a first in eight years” and the 749-like socks-and-beads comment) and the reported clears at 150 to 190 are all from Bilibili comment threads, measured 24 August 2026. The soft-pity-at-18-to-19 reading comes from a 1,347-like Bilibili comment and, independently, from a WeChat pull log published 17 August 2026 by the account 奔向云与海, which states that essentially every piece arrived at eighteen or nineteen.

Boundaries. Every number on this page is labelled official or community, and the two are never mixed in the same sentence. Infold’s own percentages are not reproduced from a leak — they are a community transcription of a screen you can open yourself, and we tell you where it is so you can check. No datamine or beta-build source is used. All checks 24 August 2026.
