Odette is the face of Genshin 7.0 — phase 1 banner from launch on 12 August alongside an Arlecchino rerun, with her signature sword Whitelake Frostfeather on the weapon banner.

Who she is, officially

The official 7.0 update notes list her as “Swirling Snow” Odette, a 5-star Cryo sword user classified “Stellar Linchpin: Cryo” — a designation no prior character carries. In the lore she is “a famed ballerina of Snezhnaya” who “blossoms against the frozen landscape with a beauty as sharp as frost.”

Mechanically, the notes describe her as a support who enables the party to trigger Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl reactions, deals continuous Stellar Glimmer damage from off-field and in quick-swap rotations, and can also play as an on-field DPS while in the “Radiance: Stellar-Conduct” state. (Stellar Glimmer is the official umbrella term for the new reaction system.)

The kit

Conversion aura: with Odette in the team, Superconduct and Swirl become Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl — and she boosts the team’s Stellar Glimmer damage on top.
Dancing shadows: her skill and burst each summon a shadow that keeps dealing Cryo damage off-field — sub-DPS by default. CN theorycrafters note the shadow self-targets over a wide area, unlike melee Cryo applicators that need to hug the enemy.
On-field option: the “Radiance: Stellar-Conduct” state lets her take the stage and dance alongside the shadow — officially named in the update notes.

The launch build (CN consensus, three guides cross-checked)

The pre-launch CN guides converge on the same numbers. At C0 her buff stack reads: a rotating 60% Stellar Glimmer damage bonus shared around the team, +30% personal above 3,000 ATK, +14% teamwide above 2,000 ATK, +50% personal after her burst — before artifacts. Expected damage at ordinary investment: 700k–1M per burst and 40–70k per off-field tick. Pre-launch numbers; treated accordingly.

Talents — Skill first (crown candidate), Burst second, normals last.

Weapons, best to budget:

Whitelake Frostfeather (signature, event wish) — ATK, Stellar Glimmer crit damage and energy restore; officially an Event-Exclusive Weapon.
Primordial Jade Cutter — about 89% of the signature.
Any 5-star crit sword — Azurelight, Absolution, or the free Exaiphanes Blade — around 80–87%.
Finale of the Deep (Fontaine forgeable) — about 75%, the 4-star pick.

Two traps the CN guides flag: the new Snezhnaya forgeable sword Emberwell needs a Stellar Glimmer trigger she can’t reliably supply in most of her own teams — skip it for her; and Harbinger of Dawn’s base ATK is too low to reach her 3,000 ATK threshold.

Artifacts — the new Heart of the Furnace set, farmed in the “Inverted Glacier” domain in Everfrozen Earth. The official 4-piece boosts the whole party’s Stellar Glimmer damage by 50% and works from off-field. Mains ATK / ATK / crit; substats crit > ATK > EM > ER. If a teammate already wears Furnace (same-name set bonuses don’t stack party-wide), CN guides point to the recent Disenchantment set for personal damage.

Constellations — C0 is a complete unit and the CN consensus stopping point. C2 is the quality jump: 42% ATK for her and the follow-up teammate plus a 20% resistance shred. C6 turns the Radiance state into a main-DPS mode.

Teams

Sandrone — the puppet-summoner the CN guides rate as her best partner; Odette replaces melee Cryo applicators there outright. Players without Yae Miko are told this pairing makes Odette close to mandatory.
Wriothesley or Cyno — both received Stellar-Conduct retrofits; her long Cryo uptime is exactly what they need.
Yumemizuki Mizuki — Stellar Swirl route; Mizuki’s buffed off-field scaling pairs well.
Budget: Cryo Traveler + Odette + Yae Miko or Alyosha + Sucrose.
