The table’s rules: new codes enter the moment they drop, and expired ones stay visible as records instead of silently vanishing. Correction (18 August): this page previously said no codes were active — we had missed WUTHERINGGIFT, the starter code live since December 2024. It is now in the table, with our apologies.
Resolved (20 August): the mystery code F5F4D3B2A2 we declined to list as “active” turned out to be the Escape from Duckov collab bike-skin code — free for everyone, multi-redeem, and it expired with patch 3.5’s end at 04:00 (UTC+8) today. It is now archived in the table. Holding it out until it could be traced was the right call: aggregators listing it as “active” today are listing a dead code.
3.6 launch codes: none yet as of 11:05 (UTC+8), minutes after servers opened. Version launches have historically brought fresh codes; the moment one appears in an official channel it enters the table with its expiry.
Everything below the table is the evergreen half of this page: how redemption works, and why it fails.
How to redeem
In game — the only path we can verify, on every platform:
- Open the game’s menu and go to Settings → Other Settings → Redeem Code.
- Enter the code and confirm.
- Rewards arrive by in-game mail, not straight into your inventory.
On PC the fastest route to that screen is: press Esc to open the Terminal, click the cog at the bottom right for Settings, open the wrench tab for Other Settings, and use the Redeem entry under the Account section. On mobile and console the menu is the same, reached through the in-game menu rather than a keyboard shortcut.
Note what the box does not ask for: no UID, no server picker, no password. You are already logged in, so the code applies to the account and region you are playing on. That fact matters again in the next section.
Is there an official web redemption page?
No — and this is the single most useful thing on this page. Kuro has not implemented a web redeem site for Wuthering Waves; codes go in through the client. Independent trackers state this plainly, and we tested the claim ourselves on 23 August 2026: the wutheringwaves.kurogames.com/main/gift-cd-key/?code=... URL that circulates in code lists returns the official site’s generic shell — byte-for-byte identical to what a made-up path on the same domain returns. It is a soft 404 dressed as a redemption portal.
The practical rule: because the real path never asks for credentials, any page asking for your Kuro account, password, UID or server in exchange for rewards is a phishing page, no matter how official the domain looks. If Kuro ever ships a genuine web flow, it will be linked from an official channel and this page will say so.
What your account needs before a code will work
- A created character. The redeem box lives inside the game, so there is no redeeming before you have played.
- The Mail function unlocked. This is the gate that actually bites, because rewards are delivered by mail. Kuro’s own 3.6 maintenance notice restricted compensation to players who had created a character and unlocked the Mail function before the cut-off — the same plumbing carries code rewards. Unlocked early in the opening hours of the game.
- A level gate? Code lists commonly repeat that you must reach Union Level 2 first. We could not source that to any official Kuro notice, and the two largest English trackers do not state a level requirement at all — so we do not assert it as fact. In practice the distinction is academic: finish the opening, unlock Mail, and the entry is there.
Why a code fails
The client’s rejection wording varies by version and platform, so rather than quote strings we cannot verify, here is what is actually going wrong, in rough order of frequency:
- It expired. By far the most common. Wuthering Waves stream codes are short-lived by design — the three codes from the 7 August 3.6 special program ran on roughly a 100-hour timer and were dead on 9 August. If you found a code on a list with no expiry column, assume this one.
- You already redeemed it. Most codes are one-per-account. Multi-redeem codes exist but are the exception and are announced as such — the Duckov collab skin code was one, and it was explicitly free for everyone and not one-time.
- Wrong region. Wuthering Waves runs separate servers — Asia, America, Europe, SEA and HMT. Codes generally work across all of them unless the announcement says otherwise; when a code is tied to a regional promotion, it fails everywhere else and the message will not tell you that.
- The client has not finished updating. Right after a version launch the launcher patch is only half the job — the game also runs an additional in-game download afterwards. A partially updated client throws errors that look like anything except “you are mid-update”.
- Platform store lag. On the day 3.6 opened, the early wave of iOS login failures traced to App Store propagation catching up with the servers. The same lag can make a freshly issued code look broken on one platform and fine on another.
- It was never real. Random-string codes with no traceable announcement are the specialty of aggregator pages. If a code cannot be traced to a stream, an official social post or in-game mail, its failure is not a bug.
Expiry, and the mail window after it
Two separate clocks, and people lose rewards to the second one:
- The code’s own expiry. Stream codes run hours to days; the long-running starter code has no announced end. Both are tracked in the table above with timestamps.
- The mail’s claim window. A successful redemption puts rewards in your mailbox, and mail does not sit there forever — trackers put the window at about two weeks. Redeeming and then not logging in is a real way to end up with nothing.
One more trap: the mailbox has a cap — 3.6 raised it to 200 messages. A mailbox sitting at the cap is a genuine reason rewards appear not to arrive after a redemption that reported success.
Platform differences
| Platform | Redemption | What actually differs |
|---|---|---|
| PC (client, Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store) | Same in-game box | Launcher/store update lag; Esc opens the Terminal |
| iOS / Android | Same in-game box | App Store / Play propagation delay after a version launch |
| PS5 / Xbox Series X|S | Same in-game box | Store patch delivery; no separate console code system |
There is no console-only or mobile-only code system: one account, one redeem entry, delivered by the same mail. What differs is how fast the patch reaches you, which is what makes codes look platform-specific on launch day.
When the next batch lands
Wuthering Waves codes follow a reliable rhythm:
- Version special programs — a batch per stream, short-lived by design
- Version launches — 3.6 went live 20 August, historically accompanied by fresh codes
- Milestones and festivals — occasional longer-lived codes via official social accounts
New codes get posted here and on the 3.6 countdown page the moment they are live, expiry attached.
The recycling warning applies here too: lists showing “active” Wuthering Waves codes older than the last stream are exhuming dead ones. A real code traces to an official channel — stream, official social post, or in-game mail. No trace, no code.
FAQ
Where do I enter codes in Wuthering Waves? Settings → Other Settings → Redeem Code, inside the game, on every platform. On PC: Esc for the Terminal, the cog for Settings, the wrench tab for Other Settings, then Redeem under the Account section.
Is there a Wuthering Waves code redemption website?
No. Kuro has not implemented a web redeem site — codes go in through the client. The gift-cd-key URL that circulates returns the official site’s generic shell, identical to any non-existent path on that domain (checked 23 August 2026). Any site asking for your account, password, UID or server is phishing.
Do I need a certain level to redeem codes? No official notice states a level requirement. What genuinely matters is having a character created and the Mail function unlocked, because code rewards are delivered by mail — the same condition Kuro applied to 3.6’s maintenance compensation.
Why does my code say it is invalid? Most often it expired — stream codes are deliberately short-lived, and the 3.6 special-program trio lasted about 100 hours. The other causes: already redeemed on your account, tied to a different region, a client still mid-update after a version launch, or a code that was never real.
I redeemed a code but got nothing. Check your in-game mail — rewards land there, not in your inventory. Then check two clocks: the mail claim window (around two weeks) and your mailbox cap, which 3.6 raised to 200. A full mailbox looks exactly like a failed redemption.

Stream-code contents and expiry from the official 3.6 special program as documented on our countdown page at the time; WUTHERINGGIFT’s rewards cross-checked against two independent trackers on 18 August; redemption path verified in-game. The Mail-function condition and the seven-hour 3.6 maintenance window come from Kuro’s official 3.6 maintenance notice of 13 August; the regional server list, the additional in-game download and the iOS App Store propagation behaviour are from our server status page; the 200-message mailbox cap from the 3.6 engine-upgrade page.
Checked 23 August 2026: the absence of an official web redemption site was verified two ways — Game8’s codes page states outright that Kuro “has not implemented a redeem site”, and we fetched the circulating gift-cd-key URL ourselves and found it returns the same generic shell as an invented path on the same domain. The PC keystroke-level route (Esc → Terminal → cog → wrench tab → Redeem under Account) and the roughly two-week in-game mail claim window are as stated by PCGamesN’s codes page on the same date, labelled here as third-party detail. No official Kuro notice stating a Union Level requirement was found, so this page does not claim one.
This page’s whole value is that nothing dead is listed as alive — and nothing untraceable is listed at all.
