Is Clawed on PS5, Xbox, PS4, or Switch?
By DayOneFix Editorial · August 8, 2026
Clawed has no announced PS5, Xbox, PS4, Switch, or Game Pass version. The official Steam page lists Windows 10/11, while the developer’s own Clawed page mentions Steam on PC. Neither official source announces a console platform.
That answer needs one careful qualification: “has not been announced” is not the same as “has been ruled out.” Flatrock Games has not confirmed a console release, release date, port, or Game Pass plan. It also has not made any public statement saying that consoles will never happen. We do not know whether they will.
Launch record — 5 September 2026
Clawed shipped on 13 August 2026 at $19.99, Windows only. On 5 September 2026, the Steam rating was Mixed (388 positive / 353 negative on 5 September). By that date, Flatrock Games had pushed five patches — 1.01 (15 Aug), 1.02 (16 Aug), 1.03 (20 Aug), 1.04 (27 Aug) and 1.05 (29 Aug) — mostly quest, save and co-op fixes; 1.04 fixed co-op respawning at the pier instead of the last checkpoint and joining players spawning at the pier, 1.05 fixed a GPU-driver crash tied to the Toy puzzle. In the 100 most recent negative English reviews sampled on 5 September, co-op and connection problems were the top complaint (24), followed by black screens on load (17), save problems (17) and stutter (16). Valve’s Steam Deck verdict recorded on 5 September was Unsupported. Everything below was written around launch and is kept as the record; where a section said “unverified until the game ships”, this block is the verification.
What platforms are officially listed for Clawed?
The Clawed Steam store page lists Windows 10/11 in its system requirements. It does not list Mac or Linux there. The official Flatrock Games page directs players to Steam on PC and does not name a PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or Game Pass edition.
Flatrock’s official store description is directed at the PC release: “Fight dinos, explore the park and solve puzzles with your teammates! Invite your friends to join you on your Journey through Prehistoria.” It is not a console announcement. The listing’s platform information is the relevant part here: Windows is named, while console platforms are not.
The verified platform answer is therefore short:
- PC: yes, through Steam; Windows 10/11 is listed.
- PS5: no version announced.
- PS4: no version announced.
- Xbox: no version announced.
- Nintendo Switch: no version announced.
- Game Pass: no version announced.
- Mac/Linux: not listed on the official Steam requirements.
This is about the platforms announced by Flatrock Games, not a prediction based on genre, engine, or similar games. The game’s official release date is August 13, 2026, but a PC launch date is not evidence of a console schedule.
“Never announced” versus “explicitly denied”
This difference is the whole answer to “will Clawed be on PS5?” A developer can say no to a version, or it can simply not announce one. Those are different facts.
An explicit denial would be a statement such as “Clawed will not release on PS5,” “there will be no Xbox version,” or “we are not bringing the game to consoles.” No such statement appears in the official information available for this article. So it would be inaccurate to say that consoles have been cancelled, rejected, or permanently excluded.
What can be said precisely is: Flatrock Games has never announced a Clawed console version. That includes PS5, PS4, Xbox, Switch, and any Game Pass launch. Flatrock Games has not said whether it may announce one later.
That is less exciting than a firm yes or no, but it avoids turning silence into a promise or a rejection. If you only have a console and need a confirmed supported platform, do not treat an unannounced port as a purchase plan.
Is Clawed coming to Xbox or Game Pass?
There is no announced Xbox release and no announced Game Pass release. The official sources name Steam PC, not Xbox consoles or the Game Pass catalog. A Game Pass release is a separate announcement from an Xbox port; neither has been made here.
Do not infer Game Pass from online co-op. Steam does list Online Co-op and Single-player, but those feature labels say nothing about a Microsoft platform agreement. The co-op details are covered in is Clawed co-op or multiplayer?.
Likewise, an absence of a console listing is not a confirmed “no.” The correct status is unknown beyond the listed PC version. Flatrock Games has not said whether Clawed will be on Xbox in the future, nor has it published a console release date.
What about PS5, PS4, and Switch?
The answer is the same for each platform: no official version has been announced. There is no published PS5 date, PS4 date, Switch date, store page, or official console feature list in the provided sources.
It is tempting to turn the Steam page’s Windows requirement into “PC exclusive.” Do not do that. “Windows is the only announced platform” is supported. “The game is permanently PC exclusive” is not. A future announcement could change the first statement, but it cannot be written before it exists.
The same restraint applies to local multiplayer. Steam’s categories do not show Shared/Split Screen, and no console release has been announced. Online co-op does not establish a couch-co-op console plan. For the online side and demo background, see Clawed multiplayer not working.
Steam Deck is a separate unknown
Steam Deck is not a console-release announcement, and it should not be treated as one. The Steam store page has no Steam Deck compatibility rating for Clawed. That means the rating is unknown; it does not establish that the game will run well, run poorly, or be unsupported on Deck.
For the full PC specifications and why the recommended hardware is notably high above the minimum, go to Clawed PC requirements and Steam Deck. That page sticks to the listed Windows requirements rather than guessing from the lack of a Deck badge.
Why the single announced platform affects crossplay
Crossplay normally describes players on different platforms joining each other. With only a Windows PC platform announced, there are no separate PC/PlayStation/Xbox/Switch player pools to connect. So the crossplay question does not presently arise, rather than being a feature that has been promised or disabled. The direct explanation is in does Clawed have crossplay?.
Bottom line
Clawed is officially listed for Windows PC on Steam. Flatrock Games’ site also points to Steam PC and does not announce PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or Game Pass versions.
Do not turn that into “never coming to consoles.” The developer has not announced a console edition, but it has not explicitly ruled one out in the official information available here. There is no console release date to report because no console release has been announced.
Sources
Every platform statement on this page comes from two official listings: the Clawed Steam store page, which names Windows 10/11 in its requirements, lists Online Co-op and Single-player, shows no Shared/Split Screen category and displays no Steam Deck compatibility rating; and the Flatrock Games Clawed page, which directs players to Steam on PC. The August 13, 2026 release date is the one those official pages carry. The distinction the page turns on — never announced rather than explicitly ruled out — is a statement about what we did and did not find: no PS5, PS4, Xbox, Switch or Game Pass version appears in either source, and neither contains a developer statement rejecting consoles. That is the honest limit of the evidence, which is why the status is reported as unknown rather than converted into either a promise or a denial.
