Claret Flint, explained — ZZZ's 3.2 headliner
By DayOneFix Editorial · August 11, 2026
On 7 August, ZZZ’s official channels put out a full character teaser for Claret Flint — the Phase I headliner of version 3.2, live since 9 September. She is a rarity: a character whose faction has been hiding in plain sight since the game launched.
The foreshadowing that already paid off
Grace’s gun has carried a “FLINT” stamp since day one. Flint Workshop — one of the new region’s five central bureaus, and the forge credited with most Void Hunter weapons — was seeded into the game years before its director became playable. Claret is the latest heir of the Flint family and runs the workshop’s general affairs; per the official teaser materials, the family’s forging craft is the source of the faction’s standing.
Where you have already met her
Claret is not a cold introduction — she appears in 3.1’s story, lending the workshop’s precious forging alloy to save Phaethon after some theatrical reluctance. The official teaser leans into exactly that persona: sharp-tongued heiress, soft touch underneath, chronically incapable of refusing a funding request. Her associate Roxy appears in the same teaser materials, and she is now official too: the 3.2 update announcement lists her as Wind, Stun on the “Cindernight Respite” channel — not in Phase I, so her banner opens after 30 September.
What the teaser makes official — and what it doesn’t
Official, and now shipped: limited S-Rank, Electric, dynamic art, and the specialty icon that had never appeared on any agent before now has a name — Armorer, the new class, as printed in the 3.2 update announcement on 9 September. She headlines Phase I on the “Bloodmoon Rising” channel, with her W-Engine Crimson Thirst alongside.
Written before release, not yet re-verified by us: the reported kit direction — damage scaling on Defense with a dual-crit mechanic. The supporting evidence was circumstantial but strong: 3.1 had already shipped a DEF-focused Drive Disc set with no obvious user, and the buffed Lina (defense and attack buffs plus an Electro damage bonus) read like a partner prepared in advance. The 3.2 livestream aired on 28 August and the version went live on 9 September, so the kit is in players’ hands now; the official announcement confirms the class but does not print multipliers, and we have not re-tested the DEF-scaling reading against the live build.
The voice cast
CN: 柳知萧 (Citlali in Genshin, Misha in Star Rail). JP: Kana Ueda — Yoimiya in Genshin and, fittingly for the archetype, Fate’s Rin Tosaka.
If you are preparing for her
The pre-release community line was to farm the 3.1 DEF-focused Drive Disc set early — if the DEF-scaling reading holds, it is her set. That window has closed; 3.2 is live, so the set is farmed under current events instead. Banner dates, the 600-Polychrome compensation and the version end date live on the 3.2 countdown page.
FAQ
Who is Claret Flint in Zenless Zone Zero? The latest heir of the Flint family and head of general affairs at Flint Workshop — one of the new region’s five central bureaus and the forge credited with most Void Hunter weapons. She was officially profiled on 7 August and released on 9 September as version 3.2’s Phase I headliner.
What is officially confirmed about Claret Flint? Limited S-Rank, Electric, and Armorer — the new class the teaser’s unfamiliar specialty icon pointed at, named officially in the 3.2 update announcement on 9 September.
Is the DEF-scaling kit confirmed? Her class is: Armorer, official since the 9 September update announcement. Her damage formula is not, at least not from us — the DEF-scaling and dual-crit reports are pre-release test-server material, and while 3.2 has been live since 9 September we have not re-tested them against the shipped kit. The circumstantial evidence was strong: 3.1’s DEF-focused Drive Disc set with no obvious user, and the buffed Lina reading like a prepared partner.
Has Claret Flint appeared in the game before? Yes — she appears in 3.1’s story, lending the workshop’s precious forging alloy to save Phaethon after some theatrical reluctance. Her faction was seeded even earlier: Grace’s gun has carried a “FLINT” stamp since day one.
What should I farm before her release? The community line was to farm the 3.1 DEF-focused Drive Disc set ahead of her release — if the DEF-scaling reading holds, it is her set. With 3.2 live, that is now just ordinary farming rather than a head start.
