Maintenance and compensation

Official: maintenance starts 9 September, 06:00 (UTC+8) and is estimated at five hours, so servers return around 11:00 (UTC+8). Compensation is 600 Polychrome in two mails (update announcement, 9 September): 300 server-update compensation, claimable until 3.2 ends on 21 October 06:00 (UTC+8), and 300 issue-fix compensation, claimable by 9 October 23:59 (UTC+8); both require Inter-Knot Level 4 before 9 September 06:00, and the mails expire after 30 days.

Pre-download is open from 7 September 12:00 to 9 September 05:50 (UTC+8): about 6 GB on PC, 5 GB on mobile, 17 GB on PS5, 28 GB on Xbox Series X|S. PC and console players can keep playing during the download; mobile cannot.

The faction has been hiding in plain sight since launch: Flint Workshop is one of Roscaelifer’s five central bureaus (the romanization is official — it appears on the faction card itself), the forge credited with most Void Hunter weapons — and Grace’s gun has carried a “FLINT” stamp since day one, a foreshadowing only now paying off. Claret herself already appeared in 3.1’s story, lending the workshop’s precious forging alloy to save Phaethon. Kit-wise, Chinese analysis notes the DEF-focused Drive Disc set that shipped in 3.1 laid her groundwork, and pegs the buffed Lina — defense and attack boosts plus an Electro damage bonus — as her natural first partner. Her voice cast is A-list: 柳知萧 (Citlali in Genshin, Misha in Star Rail) in Chinese, Kana Ueda (Yoimiya; Fate’s Rin Tosaka) in Japanese.

What happens before 3.2

3.1’s second half is dense, and it shapes what you want to have ready:

The 3.2 livestream — and 300 free Polychrome

The special program aired on 28 August. Its three redemption codes (100 Polychrome each) were valid for about a day and are no longer redeemable — do not expect them to work now. What the stream showed is now confirmed by the official Phase I post above.

What we will cover on day one

Update day brings its own failure set: the patch not appearing on your platform, downloads stalling, login errors once servers open. That is what this site does — see the launch-week guides for the format. If 3.2 breaks something on the way in, the fix coverage lands here.

Sources

The maintenance window, pre-download window and sizes are from HoYoLAB’s Pre-Download & Update Notice of 7 September; the two 300 Polychrome mails, Roxy’s class and channel, and the 21 October version end are from the Version 3.2 Update Announcement of 9 September; the Phase I banners, W-Engines, A-Rank rate-ups and the 30 September end are from the Phase I channel post of the same day. Character background traces to the official teasers. Earlier versions of this page were written before those posts existed — the page is rewritten against official material the moment it posts.

FAQ

What time does Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 come out?

Maintenance starts 9 September 2026 at 06:00 (UTC+8) and HoYoverse estimates five hours, so servers return around 11:00 (UTC+8) — one moment worldwide, the evening of 8 September in the Americas. That is the official notice of 7 September, not a projection.

Who is on the Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 banners?

Official Phase I (after the update until 30 September 11:59 server time): Claret (Electric, Armorer — the new class) on 'Bloodmoon Rising' with her W-Engine Crimson Thirst, and Nangong Yu (Ether, Stun) on 'Axiom of Captivation' with Neon Fantasies; A-Rank rate-ups Anton and Nicole. Official Phase II (30 September 12:00 – 20 October 14:59 server time, per the Phase II channels notice of 28 September): Roxy (Wind, Stun) on 'Cindernight Respite' with Crimson Moon Casket, and a rerun of Promeia (Ice, Anomaly) on 'Cold Rain Wanes in the Night' with Frostfall Sickle; A-Rank rate-ups Corin and Billy.

When is the 3.2 livestream?

It aired on 28 August 2026. Its three redemption codes were valid for about a day and are no longer redeemable; the banners it showed are now confirmed by the official Phase I post.

How much Polychrome does the 3.2 update give as compensation?

600 in total, in two mails, per the 9 September update announcement: 300 server-update compensation (claim before 3.2 ends on 21 October 06:00 UTC+8) and 300 issue-fix compensation (claim by 9 October 23:59 UTC+8). Both need Inter-Knot Level 4 before 9 September 06:00 (UTC+8); mails expire after 30 days.

What should I do before 3.2 arrives?

The Sigrid banner and a triple S-Rank rerun open on 19 August in 3.1's second half, and the version's Drive Disc events are the time to farm the DEF-focused set added in 3.1 — early reporting says the new 3.2 characters are built around it.
