No More Room in Hell 2: every known issue, and which hotfix covers it
By DayOneFix Editorial · August 16, 2026
No More Room in Hell 2 released on 11 August 2026 and the developers posted a known-issues breakdown on 13 August. It is a good post, but it is a wall of text in Steam announcements — this is the same information sorted by the only question that matters when you hit a bug: is a fix coming, and when?
Already changed (13 August, no patch needed)
These were server-side or matchmaking changes that took effect without a client update:
- An Oceanic server was added in Australia, for players in the region who had been seeing higher pings than expected.
- Matchmaking parameters were updated to route players to the best available server. The devs said they were monitoring whether this improved the longer match times and lower quality affected players had reported.
- Loadout item availability was corrected. Removing top-end items from the loadout system was intentional — meant to encourage looting and keep late-game difficulty — but several items were identified as unintentionally disabled or re-enabled, and adjusted after community response: Baseball Bat, Long Pipe (1,200 → 800 Credits), Tree Trimmer, Hockey Stick (800 → 400 Credits), Rochester 1873, and Satchel (450 → 1,500 Credits).
Note the Satchel went the other way — it more than tripled in cost. If you were saving for one, that budget changed under you.
Fixed by updating your drivers (available now)
- Hitching on Nvidia cards. The devs report this “appears to be resolved by updating graphics card drivers.” Listed under Known Issues rather than as a pending fix, because the fix is on your side.
Hotfix #1 — week of 17 August
The 13 August 2026 post scheduled Hotfix #1 for early in the week of 17 August. This records the announced plan, not confirmation that it shipped.
- Various crash fixes.
- Memory issues when Responders are heavily customised — most common in squads, with DLC outfits, and when patterns or other added data are involved. Official workaround until it ships: do not select clothing with logos and patterns. More on the crash causes →
- Wrong controller scheme for Early Access veterans, caused by hidden save data left over from before 1.0. ⚠️ This fix resets everyone’s keybindings — the developers apologise for it in the post. Screenshot your binds before you patch.
- Server stability improvements.
- Customisation materials not being applied correctly.
Hotfix #2 — week of 24 August
- Respawn message still appearing in Normal after all respawn points have been crossed.
- Additional respawns after the final objective, right before the extraction sequence in Normal — so every player gets a fair shot at completing a match by extracting.
- Higher maximum sensitivity for both mouse and controllers.
- Additional or remaining crash fixes.
- Memory usage improvements, which the devs expect to resolve some crashes especially on lower-end machines and the Xbox Series S.
- Graphics settings menu scrolling back to the top after you change an option.
- Achievement issues.
- Further menu navigation fixes.
- Missing textures, especially on PS5.
- Beginner air drops missing in Solo Mode.
Plus, in the devs’ words, “any issues Under Investigation that are resolved in time to be added.”
Under investigation — acknowledged, no date
These are confirmed as real but not yet scheduled, which is the useful distinction: reporting them again does not speed them up, and no setting on your end fixes them.
- GeForce NOW players cannot play at all — the game crashes after the Terms of Service screen.
- Controllers losing focus on UI elements, including level-up rewards and character creation.
- Crossplay toggle adjustments, to improve matchmaking time for players who have crossplay disabled.
- The Unload keybind does not rebind properly.
- Controllers occasionally vibrating at random.
Two things this list tells you beyond the bugs
The crossplay item is the one to watch if you are struggling to find matches. It is listed as a matchmaking-time problem for players with crossplay disabled — so if your queues are long, turning crossplay back on is worth testing while that adjustment is pending.
Platform coverage in the fix list is wider than the Steam page suggests. The Steam listing is Windows-only, but the hotfix notes reference PS5 texture bugs and Xbox Series S memory limits, and the devs note the game is now Verified for Steam Machine and remains Playable on Steam Deck. Deck players are told they can get a good experience with some configuration; Steam Machine owners get it out of the box.
