Genshin Impact codes: how to redeem, and why yours isn't working
By DayOneFix Editorial · August 14, 2026
Two things bring people to a codes page: a code that will not work, and wanting to know when the next batch drops. This page answers both, and it does not pad the middle with expired codes relabelled as active.
Current status
One code is permanently available: GENSHINGIFT — worth 50 Primogems and 3 Hero’s Wit, redeemable once per account. If you have never used it, use it now. If you have, it is done; a site telling you to “try it again” is padding a list.
No livestream codes are live right now (checked 14 August 2026). The three from the 7.0 special program — 300 Primogems between them — expired within about a day of that broadcast, as livestream codes always do. Any page listing several “working” codes today without saying where each came from is recycling dead ones — a genre so established that some of those pages still carry a version number two patches old in their title.
The next batch comes with the next special program. HoYoverse runs one roughly twelve days before each version update, and 7.0 went live on 12 August — so expect the 7.1 programme in the first half of September, with three codes on a roughly 24-hour timer.
How to redeem
In game (PC, Android, PlayStation): open the Paimon Menu → Settings → Account → Redeem Code, enter it and confirm. Rewards arrive by in-game mail.
On iPhone and iPad, that option does not exist. Apple’s rules keep in-game code redemption off iOS entirely, so the web route is not a convenience there — it is the only route. This single fact explains a large share of “I can’t find the redeem option” searches.
On the web (works for everyone): open HoYoverse’s official redemption page, sign in, then — and this is the step Genshin adds that Star Rail does not — select your server and confirm the in-game nickname before pasting the code. Picking the wrong server is the most common reason a valid code appears to fail here.
The Adventure Rank gate
You must be Adventure Rank 10 to redeem anything. New accounts cannot use codes at all, and the error you get does not say so clearly. AR 10 arrives quickly through the opening story quests, chests and daily commissions — but if a brand-new account is refusing every code, this is almost always why, not the codes.
What each error actually means
| Message | What it really means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Invalid redemption code | A typo, or the code is expired, or your account already used it | Re-check character by character; expired and already-used codes often surface under this same message |
| Redemption code expired | Past its window — livestream codes live about 24 hours | Nothing to do |
| Code already in use | This account redeemed it before | Check your mail; rewards may already be sitting there |
| Please reach Adventure Rank 10 | The account gate above | Play a little further and retry |
| Redemption failed / server busy | Backend trouble, common right after an update | Wait an hour rather than burning attempts |
Two mechanical traps: O versus 0 and I versus 1 cause most failed entries, and pasting from a chat app often carries a trailing space that the field will not trim for you.
The calendar that actually produces codes
Genshin’s codes are far more predictable than any list suggests, because they come from fixed events:
- Version special programs — three codes worth 100 Primogems each, 300 in total, live for roughly 24 hours. That figure has held version after version, which is why a codes page is worth checking on exactly one day per patch cycle.
GENSHINGIFT— the standing exception, once per account.- Anniversary, collaboration and milestone codes — occasional, announced on the official social accounts, usually longer-lived.
- Nothing else exists. There is no steady trickle between programmes, which is precisely why sites that always show “active codes” are always wrong.
Our policy on this page
Codes appear here only after an official channel has broadcast them — never predicted from leaks, never copied from another list. Each gets its expiry time. When one dies it stays listed and marked expired rather than disappearing, because “was this code ever real?” is half of why people search.

Redemption paths, the Adventure Rank 10 requirement and the iOS restriction are documented behaviour of the game’s redemption system as described by the official redemption page and community wiki; the special-programme cadence is the pattern of every previous version as tracked on our countdown pages. No code is listed on this page until an official channel has published it.
