Scoring the Endfield roadmap: the Si prediction, and what RE-Factor Headhunting actually is

By DayOneFix Editorial · August 12, 2026

This page used to be a roadmap of expectations. It is not one any more. On 22 August 2026 at 18:00 (UTC+8) Hypergryph published the “Dreamscape of Wind and Snow” Version DEV Comm — the official 1.5 communication — so the expectations below are now scoreable against official material rather than against each other.

Everything on this page was re-checked against Hypergryph’s own site on 24 August 2026, and the framing was updated on 24 September now that both dates in it have passed.

If you came here for a date or a time, this is the wrong page and we would rather say so than keep you: the version itself went live 2 September (1.5 countdown), and RE-Factor Headhunting opens today, 24 September, at 13:00 JST / 04:00 UTC (RE-Factor countdown). Those two pages carry the timezone tables and the official sourcing. What this page is for is the part those pages do not cover: what RE-Factor Headhunting is as a banner type, and how the community roadmap’s Si prediction scored against the official material.

What is official now

The version has a name. Hypergryph calls it [Dreamscape of Wind and Snow] — 「雪淞幽夢」 in the Traditional Chinese edition of the same bulletin. The DEV Comm opens: “Past snow and fog, into the dark woods. Version [Dreamscape of Wind and Snow] is about to launch.”

Hypergryph’s public English materials do not number their versions — the bulletin says “Version [Dreamscape of Wind and Snow]”, never “1.5”. The number is Hypergryph’s own internally: the media entry for the version trailer in the official site’s homepage feed is filed under the name 1.5版本PV, carrying the title “Arknights: Endfield [Dreamscape of Wind and Snow] Version Trailer” (published 21 August 2026). That is what ties the name to the number, and it is first-party.

RE-Factor Headhunting — a new banner type, with a date

This is the substantive announcement, and it is the first hard date Hypergryph has put on anything in this version.

The published pity rules, in full:

Alongside it, [Tag Artist Issue] RE-Factor Issue #1 opens the same day, rate-up on the 6-star Handcannon Artzy Tyrannical. Its pool: Artzy Tyrannical (Handcannon) / Wedge (Handcannon) / Rapid Ascent (Sword) / White Night Nova (Sword) / JET (Polearm) / Chivalric Virtues (Arts Unit) / Sundered Prince (Greatsword).

One reading worth labelling as ours rather than Hypergryph’s: the DEV Comm never uses the word “rerun”. But Yvonne is not a new character — she is entry 15 of 33 on the official roster, and every other name in the pool is an existing standard-pool 6-star. A banner type whose first outing rate-ups an already-released operator is the rerun mechanism, now named and dated. That inference is ours; the pool and the date are Hypergryph’s.

Scoring the Si prediction

The previous version of this page led with Si, the Feranmut Proxy, as 1.5’s expected headliner, on the strength of community roadmaps and pull guides telling players to bank Oroberyl for her. That call is now resolved, and it did not pan out.

Verdict: wrong, and worse than merely unconfirmed.

So this was not a case of “announced later than expected”. The name the community was saving for is not a name Hypergryph publishes. We are leaving the prediction on the page, labelled wrong, rather than deleting it — a page that quietly edits out its misses is a page you cannot calibrate against.

What we would keep from it: the shape of the reasoning — Endfield tells you almost nothing until close to the date — held up exactly. What failed was treating third-party roadmap consensus as if breadth of agreement were evidence. It is not. It was one unverifiable claim repeated.

Who the unreleased roster entries actually are

Two of the 33 official roster entries have never appeared in any published headhunting pool — not in the three pools listed in the [Homecoming] Version Update Notes, and not in RE-Factor Headhunting #1:

That makes them the roster’s unreleased entries. It does not make them 1.5’s banner operators: Hypergryph has announced no new operator for this version, and the DEV Comm is a quality-of-life bulletin, not a character reveal. Class and element above are read from the official operator page’s own filter labels.

Beyond 1.5

The old Game8 roadmap notes placed two silhouettes in the 1.5-and-later window: a Sarkaz-looking character “resembling Typhon”, and a Hongshan character described as calm and resolute. The DEV Comm neither confirms nor refutes either, because it names no operators.

One thing we deliberately did not do at first: the roster’s newest entry is named Typhoeus and the roadmap note said “Typhon” — we refused to treat a name resemblance as an identification. Update, 25 August: the publisher’s own Japanese press release of 21 August settles it — Typhoeus debuts in 1.5 on his own special scout (version opening to 30 September, 13:00 JST), and Purrchena is distributed free through an in-version event. So the roadmap’s “Typhon in 1.5” reading pointed at the right operator; the “Si in 1.5” reading remains wrong, and Si remains absent from the roster. Details on the RE-Factor banner page.

The rest of the DEV Comm

Not banner news, but it is the bulk of the bulletin and it is all official:

What the DEV Comm left open — and how it resolved

Written on 24 August, this section listed four open items. Closing them out:

Open on 24 AugustResolved
The 1.5 update time — the DEV Comm gave no hour, and the Version Update Notes had not postedOfficial schedule now published. Maintenance was set to end 2 September at 12:00 (UTC+8), subject to early or late reopening; see the official notes and 1.5 page
Any new operator or weapon for 1.5Closed by the version going live — the roster is in the game
The story contentClosed the same way
Pre-download, compensation, codesClosed — codes status tracks the live picture

One item from this section is still live today: RE-Factor Headhunting opens 24 September, and its 80-pull 6-star counter is shared across every RE-Factor banner rather than resetting per banner. That is the detail worth carrying away from here.

What happened to the pre-1.5 checklist

It has expired, and it is left on the record rather than deleted. It said: decide on the Liino banner before the 2 September handover — that window closed; go for Yvonne on RE-Factor Headhunting on 24 September — that is today; and watch codes around the launch window — done. The one correction it contained still stands: Liino ran to 2 September, not the 30 August this site carried until 24 August 2026.

FAQ

What is Endfield 1.5 called? [Dreamscape of Wind and Snow] — 「雪淞幽夢」 — per Hypergryph’s DEV Comm of 22 August 2026. Hypergryph does not print version numbers in its English bulletins; the “1.5” comes from the official site’s own media entry for the version trailer, filed as 1.5版本PV.

Is Si the 1.5 banner character? No. This page previously said the community roadmap expected her, and that call was wrong. The DEV Comm names no new operator, and Si does not appear anywhere on Hypergryph’s official 33-entry roster, checked 24 August 2026.

What is RE-Factor Headhunting? A new banner type announced in the DEV Comm. [Resplendent Spectrum] RE-Factor Headhunting #1 opens 24 September 2026 with Yvonne rate-up; the pool is Yvonne / Ember / Lifeng / Ardelia / Last Rite / Pogranichnik. A 6-star is guaranteed within 80 pulls and that counter is shared across all RE-Factor banners; the rate-up 6-star is guaranteed within 120 pulls across banners of the same name.

When does Endfield 1.5 start? Hypergryph has not said. The DEV Comm gives no version date or maintenance window, and the Version Update Notes are not out. Our derived date and its full working are on the countdown page, labelled as a derivation.

Who are Typhoeus and Purrchena? The two entries on the official 33-operator roster that have never appeared in a published headhunting pool — Typhoeus a 6-star Striker (Nature), Purrchena a 5-star Defender (Physical). Hypergryph has not tied either to a version or a banner.

Sources

The version name, the RE-Factor Headhunting and RE-Factor Issue banners, their 24 September date, their pools, their pity rules and the quality-of-life list all come from Hypergryph’s own “Dreamscape of Wind and Snow” Version DEV Comm, published 22 August 2026 at 18:00 (UTC+8), read in both the English and Traditional Chinese editions on 24 August 2026. The 33-entry roster, and with it Si’s absence, is read from Hypergryph’s official operator page the same day; class and element names (Striker, Defender, Heat, Cryo) are that page’s own filter labels, which is why they differ from most third-party sites. The 1.5版本PV media entry is in the official site homepage feed. Earlier banner pools are from the official “Homecoming” Version Update Notes of 16 July 2026. The superseded Si expectation came from Game8’s roadmap notes and community pull-guide consensus, and is kept above with its verdict rather than removed.

Date correction, 24 August 2026: the version’s launch date, absent from the DEV Comm, comes from GRYPHLINE’s version overview issued to press on 21 August 2026 — 2 September 2026, date only and no time — as reported by Gematsu and carried by Inven Global as a GRYPHLINE press release. Our other Endfield pages previously derived 30 August from Game8’s banner schedule; that derivation is superseded, and the Liino banner therefore runs three days longer than we said. Hypergryph’s news hub was re-read the same day and still carries no bulletin with the 2 September date.
