How to get the Perlica Fortnite outfit free — and the mistake that gets you nothing

By DayOneFix Editorial · August 17, 2026

Perlica can be free — but only through six specific purchases, and buying anything else gets you nothing no matter how much you spend.

That is Epic’s own rule, and it is the reason people are posting warnings about this promotion. Here is the exact wording from the official Epic FAQ:

“Note that, purchases of other, non-listed items do not qualify for this offer, regardless of quantity or sum-total purchase value.”

The only six items that qualify

From Epic’s Gift-with-Purchase list, the Arknights: Endfield entries granting the Perlica Outfit are:

Eligible itemPlatform
Mine a pile of OrigeometryPC
Mine a bag of OrigeometryPC
Mine a box of OrigeometryPC
Mine a crate of OrigeometryPC
Protocol CustomizedPC
Monthly Materials BundlePC

Three things this table settles:

  1. It must be the Epic Games Store version. Buying the same currency in Endfield on mobile, through another storefront, or in the standalone client does not qualify.
  2. It is PC only. Every eligible row is listed as PC.
  3. Six items, not “any purchase”. Spending more on something not on this list earns nothing.

Purchases count from 22 January 2026. If you bought one of those six at any point since then, you already qualify — the grant simply arrived on 14 August.

The dates that actually matter

WhatWhen
Perlica enters the Fortnite Item Shop14 August 2026, 8pm ET
Direct purchase window closes21 August 2026, 8pm ET
Eligible Endfield purchases count from22 January 2026

21 August, 8pm ET is 00:00 UTC on 22 August — 01:00 BST, 02:00 CEST, 5pm PDT on the 21st, and 08:00 on 22 August in UTC+8.

After that window the outfit leaves the shop, though Epic says it “may return to the item shop at a future date” — no date given. The free route is not on the same clock: Epic says the gift offer lasts “for as long as Arknights: Endfield is both accessible through the Epic Games Store and Arknights: Endfield is using Epic’s payments for IAP.”

Epic’s FAQ writes the time as both “8pm EST” and “8PM ET” in different answers. In August the US East Coast is on EDT (UTC−4), so the conversions above use UTC−4.

If you already bought Perlica and then buy an eligible item

You do not get her twice, and you are not left out either:

“If you’ve already purchased the Perlica Outfit and then purchased an eligible item through the Epic Games Store, you will receive a one-time grant inside Fortnite of 1,500 V-Bucks instead of the Perlica Outfit.”

One condition attached: “V-Bucks refunds will only apply to outfits purchased within the last 12 months.”

Do you have to play Endfield to get her?

No — you have to buy, not play. This is the most common confusion, and the answer is narrow: the grant is triggered by an eligible Epic Games Store purchase, not by playing, installing, reaching a level, or linking a game account. You do need an Epic account, because that is what the entitlement attaches to.

Will she show up on PlayStation, Xbox or Switch?

Yes, if your accounts are connected. Epic’s answer:

“If you are signed in with your Epic account on PC or mobile, or have connected your console account(s) to your Epic account, the Perlica Outfit will be in your Fortnite Locker starting August 14, 2026 at 8pm EST.”

So the purchase has to happen on PC through the Epic Games Store, but the outfit lands in your Locker on any platform where your Epic account is linked. Console links are set in your Epic account settings.

FAQ

Is the Perlica Fortnite skin free? Only through the gift-with-purchase route: buy one of exactly six listed Arknights: Endfield items on the Epic Games Store (PC). Purchases of any non-listed item do not qualify, regardless of quantity or total spend — that is Epic’s own rule.

Do purchases I made earlier count? Yes — eligible purchases count from 22 January 2026. If you bought one of the six items at any point since then, you already qualify; the grant simply arrived on 14 August.

What is the deadline? The direct-purchase window in the Fortnite Item Shop closes 21 August 2026 at 8pm ET (00:00 UTC on 22 August). The free gift-with-purchase route is not on the same clock — Epic says it lasts for as long as Endfield is on the Epic Games Store and using Epic’s payments for IAP.

What if I already bought the Perlica Outfit and then buy an eligible item? You receive a one-time grant of 1,500 V-Bucks inside Fortnite instead of a second outfit — with the condition that V-Bucks refunds only apply to outfits purchased within the last 12 months.

Do I need to install or play Endfield? No. The grant is triggered by an eligible Epic Games Store purchase, not by playing, installing, reaching a level, or linking a game account. You only need an Epic account, since the entitlement attaches to it.
