That single line confirms the player count, crossplay, the platform list and the date. It is worth quoting rather than paraphrasing, because a lot of coverage still describes the game with the first title’s three-player figure.
The two things the Steam page does not tell you
There is no crossplay category on the store listing. The Steam page carries Online Co-op but not Cross-Platform Multiplayer. That is a listing gap, not a retraction — the developer announcement is the stronger source, and store categories on unreleased games are routinely incomplete.
