HSR 4.5 maintenance and compensation — and the deadline most people miss
By DayOneFix Editorial · August 12, 2026
4.5 is live and its compensation has already been paid — but the two mails do not expire together, and the earlier of the two deadlines is 25 September 23:59 (UTC+8). If you have not logged in since launch, that is the one at risk. Everything below is now from HoYoverse’s official 4.5 notices rather than the cadence this page ran on before launch.
The window, as officially announced
- Maintenance started: 06:00 (UTC+8) on 26 August, estimated at five hours — from HoYoverse’s maintenance preview of 24 August
- Servers returned: around 11:00 (UTC+8) — one moment worldwide; the Americas came back the evening of 25 August local time. The notices give the start and the estimate but never the exact return minute, so 11:00 is arithmetic on the announced window.
- Pre-download opened 24 August at 14:00 (UTC+8): about 7.44 GB on PC, 3.88 GB on mobile.
The countdown page converts that moment into your timezone.
The compensation: 900 Jades in three pieces, three different clocks
| Source | Amount | Requirement | Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maintenance compensation | 300 Jades | Trailblaze Level 4+ at 26 Aug 06:00 (UTC+8) | Before 4.5 ends — 28 September 06:00 (UTC+8) |
| Issue-fix compensation | 300 Jades | Trailblaze Level 4+ at 26 Aug 06:00 (UTC+8) | 25 September 23:59 (UTC+8) |
| Livestream codes (14 Aug stream) | 3 × 100 Jades | Redeem within ~24h of the stream | Expired 15 August 23:59 (UTC+8) |
Note what the official notice actually says, because “600 Jades” gets reported as one lump: it is maintenance compensation plus a separate issue-fix payment, not “downtime plus update”. Both were mailed within five hours of servers returning.
Three claim rules that catch people:
- The two mails expire on different days. The issue-fix 300 goes first, on 25 September — three days before the version itself ends.
- Mail expires after 30 days regardless; a mail sent on 26 August dies in late September anyway.
- The codes never waited for launch — they died about a day after the 14 August stream, twelve days before the version. They are gone; anything still listing them is recycling dead strings.
If maintenance overruns
The standard arrangement adds 60 Jades per additional hour beyond the estimate. Overruns are rare for HSR but the compensation scales automatically — nothing to claim separately beyond the mail.
What the official notices changed
This page was written on 12 August from the version cadence. What the notices settled:
- The window held — 06:00 (UTC+8) on 26 August, five hours estimated, exactly as predicted.
- The 600 split differently than assumed. It is 300 maintenance plus 300 issue-fix, and the issue-fix half carries its own earlier deadline. The original wording here (“300 for the downtime, 300 for the update itself”) was wrong and has been corrected.
- The version runs short. 4.5 ends 28 September 06:00 (UTC+8), not the 7 October a six-week cadence gives — the 4.5 notice says the duration was adjusted. 4.6 lands 28 September.

Compensation structure is the documented arrangement of every recent HSR version; the 26 August window is cadence-based and labelled as such until the official maintenance notice posts — at which point this page and the countdown page switch to the official text.
