Arknights: Endfield server status: is it down, or is it maintenance in another timezone?

Lag or disconnects on launch day?
Half the launch-week "server errors" we trace are routing problems between you and the game servers, not the servers themselves. A game booster reroutes that path. GearUP is the one we point people to: it supports most new releases within a day of launch.

Most “Endfield servers down” searches happen on a day when nothing is scheduled, or on the correct day but the wrong side of midnight. Both come from the same cause: Hypergryph announces maintenance in UTC+8, and a large part of the playerbase does not live there.
The date is the trap, not the clock
Endfield’s version-update maintenance runs on one global window. Every region goes down at the same absolute moment — what changes is only the local date and time it gets written as.
Version 1.5 is the cleanest example, because it was announced and executed on schedule:
| Region | Window (local) | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Asia (UTC+8) | 2 Sep, 06:00 → 12:00 | 6 hours |
| Europe (UTC+1) | 1 Sep, 23:00 → 2 Sep, 05:00 | 6 hours |
| Americas (UTC-5) | 1 Sep, 17:00 → 1 Sep, 23:00 | 6 hours |
Look at the dates rather than the times. A patch everyone calls “the 2 September update” happened on 1 September for anyone in the Americas — a full evening earlier. That single day of drift is why this page exists, and it applies to every Endfield version update, not just this one.
The shape to remember: 06:00 → 12:00 UTC+8, six hours. Convert that once for your own timezone and you can predict every future window without waiting for a conversion post.
The 24 September confusion: a banner is not a patch
Worth stating plainly, because it is about to send a wave of people to this search:
RE-Factor Headhunting #1 opens on 24 September 2026 and there is no maintenance for it. It is a banner opening inside the already-running 1.5 client — there is nothing to download and no downtime was scheduled. Our RE-Factor countdown has the sourcing; the short version is that it starts at 13:00 JST (04:00 UTC) and runs until the next version-update maintenance rather than to a calendar date.
So if you cannot get in on 24 September, the servers are not the reason. Skip to the last section.
The next genuine downtime is the 1.6 version update, and at the time of writing Hypergryph has not announced its date.
Where the official word actually is
In order of how fast they update:
- @AKEndfield on X — where the “Version Update & Maintenance Preview” posts go up, and where an overrun gets acknowledged. Fastest source by a wide margin.
- The official news hub at endfield.gryphline.com — the same notices in long form, with the compensation details.
- In-game notices — reliable, but useless when you cannot log in.
Third-party “server status” trackers mostly re-post the same X account an hour later. If you are already reading this during a window, go to the source.
What maintenance normally comes with
Two things worth knowing so you do not report them as bugs:
- Compensation arrives by in-game mail. Version 1.5 paid out 900 Oroberyl after maintenance. Mail can lag the servers coming back by a while — check the mailbox before assuming you were missed.
- The client update downloads after the servers return, not during the window. A slow patch on launcher day is bandwidth contention with everyone else doing the same thing, not a server fault.
Servers are up and you still can’t get in
Then it is on your side of the connection, and it is worth knowing which side before you start changing things:
- Stuck at the login or connection step — check for a VPN, proxy or filtering software in the path first; these break the connection outright rather than making it slow.
- You get in, but everything rubberbands — that is latency, not availability, and on Endfield it is mostly decided by which of the two servers your account lives on. Endfield high ping covers why, including the PS5 case where the server was chosen by your PSN region and cannot be changed.
- You get in and the frame rate is the problem — different fault again. Endfield lag: network or PC.

The version 1.5 maintenance windows for Asia, Europe and Americas, the six-hour duration and the 900 Oroberyl compensation are from Game8’s 1.5 maintenance schedule, which mirrors the official notice. The UTC+8 announcement convention is visible in Hypergryph’s own “Version Update & Maintenance Preview” posts on @AKEndfield. The 24 September RE-Factor date, its 13:00 JST opening hour, and the fact that it opens inside the running 1.5 client with no download are sourced on our RE-Factor countdown from Hypergryph’s Version DEV Comm of 22 August and GRYPH FRONTIER’s Japanese press release of 21 August.
