Zankou build and teams: four squads, panel targets, and the dupe that matters
By DayOneFix Editorial · August 19, 2026
One-line verdict (CN first-week consensus): Zankou is the strongest Incantation DPS in the game, simple to pilot — but hungry for her signature arc and dupes, and distinctly average on a budget. Whether to pull, materials and kit mechanics live in the Zankou explainer; this page is the build.
Two terms you will see throughout: Heartwrench (official English for the DoT stack she specialises in, CN 浊燃) and Incantation Damage (her element’s damage type, CN 咒伤).
Four teams, ranked as CN’s first week ranks them
| Team | Members | Rating | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inscription-Heartwrench | Zankou + Sakiri + Daffodill + Iroi | Top pick | Comfortable at 0+1; strength approaches the Shinku team |
| Heartwrench dissonance | Zankou + Sakiri + Lacrimosa + Haniel | Recommended | Lacrimosa wants A5; Haniel to level 80, or swap in Fadia |
| Double-DPS variant | Zankou + Sakiri + Lacrimosa + Iroi | Recommended | Teams 1 and 2 merged — Zankou and Lacrimosa both carry |
| Heartwrench-collapse | Zankou + Sakiri + Adler + Daffodill | Situational | Wants A5 on both Zankou and Daffodill |
One corroboration worth flagging: the team a top Reddit commenter recommended to new players on launch day — Zankou, Sakiri, Adler, Daffodill — is exactly CN’s team 4. The two communities do not cite each other and landed on the same four names.
The second-half variable is Linko. She is the core sub-DPS of the Inscription follow-up system; once she arrives (CN 3 September, global date TBA), she takes the third slot in the top team. No need to hold a slot open now — just avoid over-investing in duplicated roles.
Arc: the signature, near-irreplaceable
Her signature arc (CN name 噬心詭刃; English name pending in-game confirmation): 570 base, 40% crit rate, 63% crit damage. CN’s write-up puts it bluntly — “no good substitute exists.” That line is most of why she is rated signature-hungry. Without it, run crit rate as your main stat instead (below).
Cartridges and the panel to aim for
- Set: “Shinku: Twin Butterflies” (CN 真紅:雙生蝶; EN set name pending confirmation)
- Main stat: Incantation DMG with the signature; crit rate without it
- Substat order: crit rate ≈ crit DMG > general DMG boost > ATK% > loop strength ≈ flat ATK > collapse strength
- Realistic 0+1 endgame panel (CN reference, hard to hit): 75%+ crit rate, 170%+ crit DMG, 60%+ DMG boost, 2,000+ ATK
- Do not stack loop strength unless building her as support
Skills and dupes
- Levelling order: unlock the passive first → basic attack and ultimate → skills → assist last
- Dupe route: 0 → A5 first. A5 synergises with Daffodill and raises her ceiling enough that CN’s guide names it the single dupe to buy; then the paired A2/A4, then the rest. A1 is the switch that enables her sub-DPS role
- Resonance 3: +20% ult multiplier; Resonance 6: +40% ATK and faster Heartwrench stacking
Rotation (0+1 baseline)
Enter → held basic → skill → basic string → skill → both ultimate stages. Do not swap out immediately after the ult: stay on-field for a basic string into skill to refill loop and energy, then swap to Sakiri first, buffers after. Two field-tested gotchas: chaining skill into ult too fast eats the input, and if ult energy is not full, run one more loop before committing.

Teams, arc numbers, stat priorities, panel targets, dupe route and rotation are from CN player 尤雪落兒’s Zankou reference sheet (13 August, V1, author notes it may be revised) and four-teams follow-up (19 August). Team 4 independently matches a top-voted Reddit recommendation. Official English terms Heartwrench / Incantation Damage cross-checked against game8’s kit page; item names we could not confirm in English are given in Chinese and labelled. This is first-week consensus — numbers and rankings will move, and when they do this page moves with them, visibly.
